1st item: Religious Icon, tempera and gilt paint on panel, depicting the Cardinal Feast Days with the Complete Resurrection and Descent into Hell in the center, 18th century. 12" W x 14" H. 2nd item: Small black Russian lacquer box with a painted lid depicting a structure with towers in a landscape setting, with gilt painted decoration encircling the base of the box. 2 3/4" W x 4" H. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Raymond White, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: Some surface wear and losses, especially around perimeter. Restoration to central seam. Shrinkage to the wood panels and small areas of paint loss in the center of the work, largest 1". Wood board is somewhat bowed. 2nd item: Overall excellent condition.
