6-piece Mexican Mid-Century sterling silver tea service, consisting of a hot water kettle and stand, coffee, teapot, creamer, sugar, and waste bowl. Quadrilateral urn form raised on shaped round bases, curved handle, shaped domed lids, and shaped finials. Each piece is stamped AMA 925 HECHO EN MEXICO STERLING, together with a hallmark. Also included is an Alvin Mid-Century sterling silver-handled tray, marked on the base “ALVIN STERLING 4900 25INCH.” Tea service ranges in size from 4 1/2 in. H x 3 1/2 in. W to 17 1/2 in. H x 7 1/4 in. W. All items mid-20th century. Total weight of tea service: 167.88 troy ounces. Tray measures 25 in. W x 17 in. D. Tray weighs 75.05 troy ounces. 242.93 total troy ounces.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Dr. Allen E. Johnson, Knoxville, TN.
CONDITION: All pieces are in overall very good condition with light use and surface wear. Not monogrammed.
