Giuseppe Aureli (Italian, 1858-1929) watercolor and gouache painting of a rustic, Roman tavern interior with two young men and a woman conversing at table on which sits a bottle of wine. The tablecloth, clothing of the central figure, and woman’s arms appear unfinished. Signed “Aureli” and dated 1883 in red, lower right. Housed under glass in a painted wooden frame with fabric liner and gilt fillet. Sight: 27″ H x 18 1/4″ W. Framed: 37 1/2″ H x 28 1/2″ W.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition, with fresh colors. Not examined outside of frame.
