Italian School, 19th century oil on canvas landscape depicting a woman carrying something on her head, presumably laundry, and walking towards the rocky bank of a shallow river. Farmhouses and trees dot the middle ground behind her and low mountains rise along the horizon, under a hazy early morning or dusky sky. Unsigned and unframed. 13" H x 30"W.

CONDITION: Delamination at all edges, affecting front of image at lower left corner, small area upper left. Overall grime. 2" line of delamination and tenting at center, sky/mountain area. Some tenting along stretcher lines. A few scattered white abrasions lower edge and center sky area; white spots in tree line may be intentional (as smoke from farmhouses) or abrasions.
