Two (2) American or English School oil on canvas landscape paintings. 1st item: Landscape fox hunt painting depicting figures in red coats atop horseback accompanied by hounds across wide, rolling fields with a sparsely leaved tree to the left under a blue sky largely filled by cirrus clouds. Illegibly signed lower left. Paper label with numbering, en verso. Housed in a molded giltwood frame with rosette and foliate flourish corners and floral festoons. Sight: 9 1/4" H x 15 1/4" W. Frame: 15 1/4" H x 21 1/4" W. Likely English, early 20th century. 2nd item: Landscape painting depicting red and white farmhouses amid steep hills with sporadic trees and fencelines enclosing fields with low, rolling nountains in the background beneath a blue sky. Unsigned. Paper framer's label en verso of frame. Housed in a molded giltwood frame with scallop flourish corners and ribbon swag outer edge. Sight: 7 5/8" H x 9 5/8" W. Frame: 11 1/2" x 13 1/2" W. American or English, 20th century.
