1st item: Victorian sterling silver inkstand with scrolling, gadrooned edges; shell handles; central shaft with egg and dart bobeche; and faceted, cut glass inkwells with sterling caps. Stamped for Walker & Hall, Sheffield, Sterling, and 1898 to base of center shaft and top by one inkwel; stamped with maker's mark, Sheffield England, and patent number to underside. 4 1/4" H x 10 3/8" W x 6" D. 2nd item: Coin silver tablespoon with bright cut foliate design, monogrammed DER. Marked WISHART in rectangle for Hugh Wishart, working New York, NY circa 1784-1819. 9 3/8" L. 3rd item: George IV sterling silver-handled ebonized wooden cane with repousse scrolling design. Stamped for John Crouch, London, Sterling, and 1828. 36 3/4" L. 11.06 total weighable troy ounces sterling silver. 1.60 total troy ounces coin silver.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Eleanor "Lea" Wright, Knoxville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: Minute scattered surface scratches, primarily to inkwell caps. 2nd item: Scattered surface scratches and denting to bowl of spoon. Monogrammed. 3rd item: Denting to top of handle commensurate with manner of use. Minor scattered age splits to wood with corresponding loss of paint. Ferrule is absent.
