Vander Ley watermark to each. Published circa 1680-1700 by Nicholas de Poilly (address erased on print with tulips), likely third state. Sheet – 13 1/2"H x 17 1/8"W. Frame – 17 1/2"H x 20 1/2"W. Several of his works were published as engravings in LE LIVRE DE TOUTES SORTES DE FLEURS D'APRES NATURE (Book of All Kinds of Flowers from Nature) and LIVRE DE PLUSIERS PANIERS DE FLEURS (Book of Many Flower Baskets) in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Monnoyer spent his later years in England, where he decorated Montague House for the English ambassador to France, and Kensington House for Queen Anne.
