Lot 911: 3 Antique Turkmen Weavings, Uzbekistan Chuval & 2 Ersari Torbas

Three (3) Antique Turkmen Tribal weavings, including one 1 Uzbekistan Chuval and 2 Ersari Torbas, all wool on wool construction, woven in traditional stylized gul and floral designs in colors of red, blue, and cream. Ranging in size from 4 ft 8 in x 1 ft 5 in to 5 ft 8 in x 3 ft 11 in. All last quarter 19th century.

PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.

CONDITION: Uzbek chuval with areas of moderate pile wear on both sides. Both Ersari torbas overall good condition with light wear and losses to fringed ends.
