Jeanne Davies (Pennsylvania/New Jersey, b. 1936) small oil on board genre painting titled "Morning Chores" depicting a young girl standing next to a small cat in a garden feeding a goose and its goslings surrounded by floral foliage. Signed "Davies" lower right, titled and artist name engraved on nameplate, lower center. Housed in a contemporary gilt frame with gadrooning. Sight: 10 1/2" H x 13 1/2" W. Framed: 14 1/2" H x 17 1/2" W. Note: Jeanne Davies is known for painting children's portraits, farm and genre scenes, and folk art works of Amish everyday life.
