Six (6) antique Turkman weavings, all wool on wool and woven in traditional designs and colors including: Yomud or Yomut Torba Turning Leaf design, 3 ft. 3 in. x 1 ft., circa 1890s; Tekke Torba, 3 ft. 10 in. x 1 ft. 7 in., circa 1880s; Tekke Torba, 3 ft. x 1 ft. 1 in., circa 1850s; a Baluch bag face, 2 ft. x 1 ft. 9 in., circa 1875; a Turkish mat, 2 ft. 7 in. x 1 ft. 6 in., circa 1880s; and a Yomud or Yomut camel knee cover, 1 ft. 7 in. x 10 in., circa 1800.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: 1st item: overall good condition, fringe wear. 2nd item: patch repair, fringe loss. 3rd item: losses to sides and fringe. 4th item: overall good condition with wear at edges. 5th item: some scattered repairs and fringe wear. 6th item: wear and losses to fringe.
