1st item: A Southeast Asian Bagobo brass Betel or tobacco box with silver inlaid scroll and geometric to the exterior; the interior with four compartments having hinged tops, which lift to reveal a large hidden compartment below. 3 in. H x 7 1/2 in W. x 3 3/8 in. D. Mindanao Island (Philippines), late 19th to early 20th century. 2nd item: A Southeast Asian silver footed bowl with repousse palm and lotus decorations, fitted with a flower frog top. Stamped KTC 925 to underside. 3 in. H x 6 in. Diam. 3.95 oz troy. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Dr. Ian M. Mathison, Murfreesboro TN and Big Rapids, MI.
CONDITION: 1st item: Notable oxidation and wear to interior of compartments. Repair and small hole to bottom of box. Minor oxidation and wear to exterior, but overall very good condition. 2nd item: Very good condition.
