Edward Deanes (United Kingdom, fl.1860-1893) watercolor painting on paper depicting two young girls seated together and reading from a book or magazine. Inscribed on backing "Watercolour Drawing, / Date 1882, By / Edward Deanes (Eng. Sch.) / (See Benezit) / Mounted in Museum Rag." Housed under glass in a speckled giltwood frame with double ivory mat. Sight: 6 7/8" H x 4 7/8" W. Frame: 16 3/4" H x 10 3/4" W.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carl Klein, Brentwood, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Very good condition with no fading. Not examined out of frame.
