1st item: Louis XVI style fruitwood Fauteuil or armchair with ribbon-carved frame, the crest with a central floral basket and flowers, heavily carved armrests and supports, partially upholstered curved arms, upholstered seat with carved rails and skirt, and spiral fluted legs topped with rosettes. 38" H x 24 1/2" W x 21" D. 2nd item: Napoleon III bronze mounted mahogany dressing or vanity table by Charles G. Diehl, Paris consisting of a bronze-shaped mahogany flame lift top that opens to reveal a bronze-mounted mirror and fitted interior, one fitted slide drawer and shaped skirt all with foliate inlay, above curved legs mounted with figural bronze cherubs and sabor feet. Signed on lock. 29" H x 23" W x 17 1/4" D. Circa 1870-1880.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Peggy Lambert, Maryville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: Chair in overall good condition with light scattered wear to frame. Upholstery with some scattered water stains (mostly to the back) and other staining, primarily to the seat. 2nd item: Extensive restoration. In overall very good condition with expected light use wear. Some evidence of sun fading to sides, drawer with some lifting to mahogany veneers.
