Two (2) Turkmen Tribal Bag weavings, both wool on wool in colors of red, blue, and cream, including: an Arabatchi full bag face with central gul designs, 3 ft. 9 in. x 2 ft. 6 in., circa 1900, and a Baluch bag complete with backing with geometric and striped decoration, 11 ft. 7 in. x 2 ft. 9 in., circa 1880s.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: 1st item: Patches to the front top edge, patches to the back, and some losses. 2nd item: Scattered pile wear- a few areas with losses down to the foundation.
