1st item: Chinese female carved ivory medicine doll depicted unclothed, except for two bangles, earrings, and shoes, lying on her side with one hand supporting her head. Fitted with a custom rectangular hardwood stand. Retains the original 1976 purchase receipt from Moon Gate galleries in Singapore. Doll measures 8" L. Stand measures 8 1/2" L. 2nd item: Asian, possibly Japanese, relief carved and polychromed ivory sculpture, originally two pieces, depicting pine trees growing from a rocky ground with cranes perched amongst the tree limbs and resting on the ground near bamboo. Retains the original 1976 purchase receipt from Moon Gate Galleries in Singapore. Fitted with carved wood stand. Sculpture measures: 6 3/4" H. 8" total H. Late 19th/Early 20th century.or transport of the object. Note: This lot can only be sold to a resident of the State of Tennessee. CONDITION: 1st item: Some darkening to ivory, otherwise overall very good condition. 2nd item: Lid has been poorly glued to the matching base, no attempt has been made to remove the glue. Bottom of sculpture has additionally been glued to wood base. Otherwise overall good condition with light wear to polychrome decoration.
