Green paint decorated Neoclassical demilune cabinet, decorated in the Robert Adam style. The distressed painted semicircular top sits above a case with center fixed section painted with Greek statuary and garlands, flanked by curved doors painted with vignettes of courting scenes and fleur de lis flourishes, which open to two fabric-lined shelves, supported on square tapering legs with Marlborough feet. 38" H x 44 1/2" W x 22 1/2" D. Late 19th to early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with original aged finish. One rear foot with repaired break. Wear across top surface. Some loss to trim molding. Partial separation of lower trim to left door. Vertical age split along left door with corresponding inpainting.
