3 French Fashion Dolls or Poupees. Includes 2 female dolls with unmarked bisque heads and shoulders (1 has swivel neck), blue stationary eyes and wigs, on kid leather bodies with bisque forearms (note condition problems to bodies), 17-18"; and 1 male doll with bisque head and 5 piece composition body, brown stationary eyes and brown wig, wool costume with coat and leather boots. Head marked Mon—- France, DL. 11". All late 19th century to early 20th century. Provenance: Estate of Frances R. Van Winkle, Knoxville, TN, daughter of Elsie Schmidt Jachowski, collector and past president of Dollogy Club of Washington, DC. Condition: 1 female doll has upper arm missing, other female doll has lower leg detached. Clothing in poor condition. Male doll has a few scattered small tears and holes to costume and a 1/8" flake on back of head.
