Traveling writing box with parquetry veneer, rectangular form with hinged lid opening to reveal a fitted interior for pens and ink bottles (bottles included), and a wood divider with inlaid decorative design. 3"h x 8" w x 4"d. Probably American, circa 1830. Provenance: the estate of Margaret Wemyss Connor, Nashville, Tennessee. Condition: Missing escutcheon inlay, some wear and stains, overall good condition.
