Large Chinese iron red and parcel-gilt porcelain rouleau form floor vase mounted as a lamp, having naturalistic scenes of birds and insects among flowers, including chrysanthemums, a ruyi band to flared rim with floral vignettes to upper shoulder and base. All mounted on a round wooden base with five feet. Fitted with double light socket. 41 1/4" H x 9" dia. 19th Century.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Scattered fleabites, 2 1/2" x 3" area of repair to rim. Lamp is fixed to the wood base. Functional at time of inspection.
