Chinese Scholar's hardwood table screen with elaborate pierced and scrolling carved openwork design, inset with a Sancai glazed earthenware plaque having relief decoration including a pine tree, cranes, chrysanthemum and other foliate elements. Plaque sight measures 8 3/4" H x 7" W. Overall 18 7/8" H x 14" W x 5 5/8" D.19th century. Condition: Losses to screen, especially around the plaque, some separation of screen joints.
