English George III satinwood veneered and inlaid Pembroke table, oak secondary, with one dovetailed drawer and one faux drawer, two D form drop leaves, and square tapered legs ending in brass casters. Central oval inlay to top, crossbanded edges, and line inlay throughout. Drawer with brass escutcheon and brass pulls. 29 1/2" H x 21 1/4" W (closed) x 35 3/4" D; 42 1/4" W (open). Early 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Scattered splits and warping to veneer commensurate with age; minor scattered repairs to veneer and inlay, primarily to edges. Minor scattered areas of discoloration and wear to lacquer to top.
