Antique Yomut or Yomud Turkmen Ensi rug, wool on wool. Central dark rust field with four windows flanked by three primary borders. Lower end with wide border having diagonal serrated diamond designs. Woven in red, blue, salmon, and cream colors. 5ft 4in x 3ft 10in. Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: An approximate 4" vertical repair to top center, lower quadrant with approximate 2 1/2" vertical patch repair. Moderate pile wear to center. Velcro strip applied en verso for hanging
