Miniature or salesman sample inlaid mahogany chest of drawers, oak secondary. Slightly overhanging rectangular top above four dovetailed drawers having inlaid satinwood crossbanded edges with round brass pulls, on a base with ogee bracket feet. Inscribed to underside "Circa 1800/ John McWhorter Esq./ Bought in London 1993". Past exhibition label inside drawer. English, early 19th century. 8 1/2" H x 4 1/2" W x 4 3/4" D.
PROVENANCE: The Tina McWhorter Trust; from the collection of John and Tina McWhorter, Memphis, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with minor wear, shrinkage to back.
