Two German character boy dolls including one incised on the back "260-11/0, Ernst Heubach" with bisque head, composition arms and attired in a blue sailor's uniform (13 1/2" H) and one incised on the back "4 Germany" with bisque head, compostition arms and attired in a white sailor's uniform with applied hair. (12" H). Provenance: Estate of Frances R. Van Winkle, Knoxville, TN, daughter of Elsie Schmidt Jachowski, collector and past president of Dollogy Club of Washington, DC. Condition: Some marks to face of Heubach doll and losses to tips of fingers. Losses to hair of other doll.
