Lot 893: 2 Tekke Turkmen Matched Bag Face Rugs

Pair of matched Tekke Turkmen bag face rugs, both with large central gul design on a brick red field, wool on wool, woven in colors of red, blue and cream. 1 ft 7in x 1ft 4in. Late 19th/Early 20th century.

PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.

CONDITION: Both are in overall good condition, even pile wear, with losses to the bottom fringe.
