Two (2) small oil on canvas paintings depicting Paris street scenes, possibly Paul Cornoyer (New York/Missouri, 1864-1923). One oil painting with figures in black cluster near a monument with buildings in the background. The other depicts figures walking along a Paris street with turn of the century automobiles and buildings in the background. Unsigned. The paintings measure 8 1/4" x 6 1/4" and 7 7/8" x 6 1/4" and are unframed. Note: both paintings were previously mounted in a frame having a placard for Paul Cornoyer.
PROVENANCE: Private Kentucky collection.
CONDITION: Both canvases have been cut down and one has been mounted to cardstock. Fraying and wear to paint at edges, largest area of loss 1/4" w. Overall grime and some small scattered inclusions.
