1st item: Folk art puzzle box, signed by Willis Cobb. Open square form consisting of three columns with puzzle carving and one column with openwork carving. Signed on the top CUT BY WILLIS COBB/SHEPHERD R.2.MICH/BORN KALAMAZOO CO. SEPT. 5, 1863. 8 1/8" H X 7 3/4" sq. Early 20th century. 2nd item: Folk art carved figure having a pig head and hoof appendages, unsigned. 10 1/2" L x 8" W. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: 1st item: Several old repaired breaks to base and one to top. Carved column without puzzle with some losses. 2nd item: Light wear and grime, very slight losses to one hoof/foot.
