Arthur Glazier (Pennsylvania, 1928-2015) folk art/outsider painting on repurposed wood panel depicting a stylized girl in a white dress picking pink flowers from a potted plant to her right. At her feet are a white cat, ball, and a doll in a stroller. Her head is flanked by two butterflies in flight and the scene is set against a solid brown background. Signed in lower right: "A. Glazier." 23" H x 15 1/4" W.
PROVENANCE: Private Hawkins County, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with scattered loss to paint most visible along lower edge. A crack extends from the lower edge of the panel into the girl's left foot. Repurposed panel has scattered indentations made to prior to painting and a 1/4" hole above the head of the figure.
