GOWDEY for Nashville, TN retailer Thomas Gowdey (working 1825-d. 1863); 2 tablespoons marked J.O. & J.R. POTTER / PROVIDENCE, R.I.; 1 American coin silver tablespoon marked with eagle in oval; and 2 Russian tablespoons dated 1859 AND 1836 with 84 zolotniki marks indicating .875 fineness. Items range from 5 1/2"L to 14 1/2"L. Combined weight: 14.15 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville collection.
CONDITION: Gowdey spoon is heavily scratched. Russian spoons have significant denting and wear. Other spoons overall good condition with some wear. Most spoons have monograms.
