1st item: Ink and color on silk Chinese landscape scroll painting with buildings nestled within mountains and birds soaring throughout, late 19th/early 20th c. Mountains are described with long hemp fiber and axe-cut brush strokes typical of period. Inscription and seal to lower right. Housed in wooden box with calligraphic inscription. Image: 46 3/4 in. H x 14 1/2 in. W. Scroll: 73 1/4 in. H x 19 3/4 in. W. Box: 2 3/4 in. H x 22 3/4 in. W x 3 in. D. Chinese, Late 19th/Early 20th century. 2nd item: Ink and color on silk Chinese landscape scroll painting with a pine tree by the ocean, full moon, and a flock of birds, 20th c. Inscribed lower right, with two red seals. Label with text affixed to backing. Housed in a wooden box. Image: 46 in. H x 14 1/4 in. W. Scroll: 80 in. H x 19 5/8 in. W. Box: 2 3/4 in. H x 22 3/4 in. W x 3 in. D. 3rd item: Ink on paper Chinese calligraphy scroll painting with three red seals, 20th c.. Additional seal with inscription en verso. Image: 46 1/8 in. H x 14 1/2 in. W. PROVENANCE: Estate of Dr. Allen E. Johnson.

CONDITION: All items in overall very good condition. Item 1 with minor wear to verso and 2 inch tear to top of mount. Scrollbar is missing one knob. Box with minor abrasions and losses. Item 2-3 with even toning, some areas of spotting, fading to decorative brocade border and backing.
