Set of 4 vintage safari chairs labeled Col. Jim Corbett, 1910, Safari, folding weathered oak and leather, bronze oval plaque on each right arm reading "Col Jim Corbett, 1910, Sarari". 46" H x 21 1/4" W x 19 1/2" D. Edward James "Jim" Corbett (1875-1955) was a British hunter, turned conservationist, author and naturalist, famous for hunting a large number of man-eating tigers and leopards in India. He played a key role in establishing the Hailey National Park in 1936 to protect the endangered Bengal tiger, now called the Jim Corbett National Park. CONDITION: Overall weathering to leather and wood. Some separation of canvas lining from leather seats. Structurally sound.
