Pair of Japanese Meiji period bronze candlesticks, each depicting a crane standing atop a turtle symbolizing longevity and happiness, with three foliate form candle arms and lotus blossoms to the bases. Unmarked. 21 in. H x 9 1/4 in. D x 7 in. W. Circa 1900.
PROVENANCE: Private Chattanooga area collection.
CONDITION: One candlestick is missing one candle holder, and the other candlestick has a repair to the central candle arm. Both with a slight separation to the center underside, appear to be in the making.
