American walnut one-drawer inlaid work table or stand, white pine secondary. Rectangular plain top over a single dovetailed drawer having a later, crude inlaid heart escutcheon, and four ring-turned tapering legs ending in spike feet. 29 7/8 in. H x 25 in. W x 19 1/4 in. D. Mid 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private collection, purchased from Erlene Ledford of Ledford Antiques, Limestone, TN (Washington County).
CONDITION: Full crack to top, along with wear and staining, later heart inlay. Wear, abrasions and minor losses, particularly to feet.
