1st-2nd items: Two (2) Chinese peepal leaf gouache figural paintings depicting a man and a woman in traditional dress. Mounted to paper and housed under glass together in a giltwood frame with green painted accents. 3rd-5th items: Three (3) Chinese watercolor and gouache paintings on silk, including one (1) depicting Shouxing, the God of Longevity, character signature and red seal mark to upper right corner; one (1) depicting a rearing horse with reigns tied to a tree, character signature and red seal mark to upper right corner; and one (1) depicting a male figure inspecting the roots of a leaning tree. All mounted and housed under glass together in a bamboo molded giltwood frame. 6th-7th items: Two (2) Japanese voyeuristic woodblock prints with metallic detailing depicting brightly garbed couples in erotic scenes having signatures to upper left or right corners. One with pencil inscription, en verso. Housed and mattered under glass in chrome-painted frames. Sights ranging from 3 1/8" H x 4 1/2" W to 6 1/8" H x 9 5/8" W. Frames ranging from 7 3/4" H x 11 1/4" W to 20 1/4" H x 8" W. Late 19th century/early 20th century.
CONDITION: 1st-2nd items: Loss to one peepal leaf measuring approximately 2" x 1/2". Scattered pinprick holes and minute tears to leaves. Backing paper with scattered water spots. 3rd-5th items: Silk with scattered minor areas of discoloration and foxing. Minute inclusions under glass. 6th-7th items: Overall very good condition. One mat with scattered minor discoloration.
