Twelve (12) pieces of assorted Chinese Export porcelain, all with blue and white landscape decoration, including one (1) chestnut basket with reticulated sides and one (1) matching underplate; one (1) footed teapot with domed lid; one (1) teapot with intertwined, naturalistic handle and overhanging lid with peach finial; one (1) baluster form vase; one (1) three-piece soap dish with bamboo handle to domed cover and segmented liner; one (1) large bowl with quatrefoil rim; one (1) sauce boat with scalloped rim; two (2) oval plates, and two (2) dinner plates. Heights ranging from 2 3/8" H to 9" H. Widths ranging from 5" dia. to 11" W. Large scalloped rim bowl, one oval plate, soap dish, and chesnut basket and underplate probably 20th century. All other items late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Marlin Phythyon Sanders, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: All items with minor scattered wear to glaze and fleabites to rims. Minor hairline to rim of chestnut basket underplate measuring 5/8" L. Restoration to handle of teapot with domed lid. Minor hairline to base of vase measuring 1 3/4" L. Soap dish with repaired breaks to liner with minute corresponding losses. Sauce boat with minor surface residue and hairline to spout measuring 2 3/8" L.
