Winterthur reproduction Paul Revere Tankard, marked Reed and Barton Sterling, Limited Edition 1000. Flame finial and mask at terminus of handle. 8 5/8" H, 25.62 oz troy. Includes Winterthur pamplet, explaining that this is a recreation of one of the original set of six tankards commissioned by Mary Bartlett from Paul Revere in 1768 and donated to the Third Church in Brookfield, Mass. in memory of her husband. The originals were later acquired by Winterthur for the DuPont dining room. Late 20th century. Provenance: the estate of Celia (Cece) Webb, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: Excellent condition.
