Shane "Slick" Campbell (American/Tennessee, 20th-21st Century) carved and assembled folk art sculpture of "Lucille", the name which American blues musician B.B. King gave to his Gibson electric guitars, titled "Tribute to the Blues…One of the Best, B.B. King!". The guitar is comprised of black painted wood, with white painted bridge, pickups, and frets, carved tuning pegs and volume controls, and plastic strings. The body is covered with various inscriptions paying homage to Blues musicians and their lyrics, and a tribute to B.B. King is inscribed on the pickguard. Inscribed "B.B. King" on the Fretboard and signed "Shane Campbell East TN along the lower edge. 41" H x 11 1/2" W
PROVENANCE: The personal collection of former Folk/Outsider Art dealer Jamie Teal, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Two missing frets, others have been re-adhered. Otherwise in overall very good condition.
