Pair of Queen Anne period side chairs, each walnut or mahogany with yoke shaped top rail, rounded at ends with carved ornament to center, over a vasiform splat set into shoe on rear seat rail. Seat with later yellow moire style upholstery. Cabriole legs with C scrolls and volutes at knees and center of skirt, turned stretchers with distinctive yoke shaped stretcher at front, on pad feet. 38 3/4 in. H x 21 1/2 in. W x 20 in. D. English or Northern European, Circa 1750.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Dr. W. Harwell Murrey, Middle TN.
CONDITION: Old pest holes to stiles and feet. Feet have been pieced / ended out. Repairs with some possible replacements to volutes at skirts. Repairs and possible replacements to stretchers. One with repair at crest rail.
