This watercolour for the Mouton Rothschild 1982 label is one of the last pictures he ever painted. 2nd item: 1983 Chateau Mouton Rothschild wine label lithograph, originally painted by Saul Steinberg (1914-1999) and initialed ST in the plate. Steinberg later developed the theme of human solitude: empty beaches where the human figure is a dot in the distance, etc., which inspired his design for 1983 label. Both Late 20th century.
