Set of twelve (12) coin silver forks marked for retailer George Sharp Junior, (working Danville, Kentucky 1857-late 1860), in a classical olive pattern variant pattern. 8" L. 23.535 total troy ounces. Note: Monogrammed KAM for Katerine Aylett White Miller Shreve Mason (1820/22-1885) of Greensburg, KY, who is one of the primary correspondents in the Mason family archival group of letters, also featured in this auction.
PROVENANCE: Descended through the family of Katherine "Kate" Aylett White Miller Shreve Mason (1820/22-1885), of Greensburg, KY. Another lot of silver and a letter archive from this family is also being offered in this auction.
