Henry Pruett Share (New York/California,1853-1905) oil on canvas painting depicting cattle in a landscape, with one cow wading into a creek into the center foreground while others cluster under a grove of trees with mostly bare limbs. A partly cloudy sky is overhead. Signed "Share" lower left and dated 1902. Unframed. 12" H x 18" W. Note: Henry Pruett Share is known for his landscapes and illustration work. He was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1853 and moved to New York in 1875. For many years he was art editor of the New York Herald and New York World. CONDITION: Overall good condition. Some paint loss along perimeter from previous frame abrasion; losses to canvas along upper right edge (above frame line). Tiny stain in sky area.
