Three (3) George Ayers Cress (American/Tennessee, 1921-2008) watercolor on paper paintings including: one depicting mountain landscape with the peak of a small buiding visible in the distance, signed lower right and dated 1942; one depicting a beached fishing boat and fish drying stand, unsigned; and one depicting a group of four row boats on a shore with fishing nets draped in the foreground and a sliver of bright blue water in the backgroud, unsigned. All unframed. Ranging in size from 12" H x 16" W to 15" H x 22 1/4" W.
PROVENANCE: Property of the Hunter Museum of American Art.
CONDITION: All in overall very good condition, some with painter's tape en verso. The two paintings on wove paper with scattered spotting and toning.
