1st-2nd items: Two (2) Miniature Wax Cameo Portrait Plaques, attributed to James Tassie (Scotland, 1735-1799) or Thomas Poole (English, fl.1791-c. 1821), both with printed information to underside of bust. The male subject is identified as ROBERT ADAM / ARCHITECT / DIED MARCH 1792. Base of female subject is printed: MRS ART– STEWART BORN__ ; remainder of printing is illegible. Each approximately 2 1/2" H. Mounted under glass in a velvet lined stained wood shadowbox. 5 1/2" H x 4 1/2" W. 3rd item: A miniature German gypsum bas-relief medallion plaque depicting Christ being brought down from the cross. German label, en verso. 3 1/8" diameter overall.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Raymond White, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st-2nd items: Wear to printed lettering at base of plaques, slight yellowing to wax, otherwise very good condition. 3rd item: Plaque in excellent condition; frame with some oxidation.
