Ella Raayoni (Austria/Israel, d. 1993) fabric collage genre scene, depicting a woman lounging in a chair with window in the background. Signed lower left. 17-1/2" x 31-1/2" sight, 24" x 38" matted and framed with giltwood frame. Biography (Courtesy the Hana Greenfield Israeli Art Collection): Ella Raayoni was born in Vienna and came to Israel when she was eight years old. Aside from her exhibits in Israel, she exhibited in the Paris Salon of 1958 and was awarded first by the Women's International Artists, In the same year, she also had a show in London. She also exhibited in Switzerland, Italy, and the United States. Married to the artist Shmuel Raayoni, who predeceased her, she died in 1993. Condition: Excellent condition.
