Thirteen (13) pieces antique flatware. Nine are coin silver with twist handles including 1 serving spoon with gilt bowl and incuse mark for retailer F.L. Davis & Bros.(location unknown); 1 gravy ladle with shell bowl, mark of James Watts, Philadelphia, with retailer mark Cowles & Co. (CT); 1 shallow bowl ladle or deep bowl tablespoon (8 3/4 in) marked for Albert Coles; 1 pastry or tomato server marked for Hall, Hewson & Brower (NY); 1 small berry spoon with repousse bowl stamped for William Kendrick (Louisville, KY); 1 small sugar sifter ladle with pierced bowl, stamped for J.E. Caldwell & Co. of Philadelphia; and 1 bacon/sardine fork, 1 pickle tongs and 1 butter knife all without maker’s marks. Also included are two coin silver items with solid handles: 1 tablespoon with engraved handle stamped for Duhme of Cincinnati and 1 5-3/4 in. ladle with fiddle handle stamped for Storrs and Davies of Utica, NY, along with 2 silverplated pieces: an English Walker & Hall fish knife with fish-engraved blade and 1 Rogers ladle with gilt bowl, possibly an oyster ladle, 10 1/2 in. L. Combined weight, coin silver: 14.19 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville collection.
CONDITION: Wear to gilding on some bowls; occasional dents, overall all items good condition. Most monogrammed.
