Two (2) George Ayers Cress (American/Tennessee, 1921-2008) abstract paintings on paperboard, including one (1) mixed media watercolor/pastel signed and titled "Island Fragments" en verso; one (1) acrylic painting, unsigned and untitled. Both unframed. Museum accession numbers in pencil en verso. 20" H x 27 3/4" W and 22 3/4" H x 26 1/2" W.
PROVENANCE: Property of the Hunter Museum of American Art.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. Adhesive residue to outer perimeter of mixed media piece, and pencil-drawn borders suggesting cut lines near center.
