4 pieces Victorian Hair Jewelry. 1st item: gold plated framed pendant or locket with hand painted photograph of an elegantly dressed lady on one side and on the reverse, a lock of hair fashioned into a Prince of Wales feather motif. Unmarked. 1 7/8" x 1 3/4". 2nd through 4th items: Mourning Brooch and matching earrings made from woven hair, with engraved gold plated mounts. Brooch 1 5/8" x 1 1/4". Both last half 19th century. Provenance: Private Brentwood, TN collection. Portrait brooch acquired from estate in Atlanta. CONDITION: Locket: Some minor oxidation to gold metal mounts; a few tiny accents have come loose from the hair ornament decoration in the pendant. Brooch and earrings: very good condition with minor oxidation.
