Late Classical mahogany footstool having an inset removable top with burgandy and gold upholstery and deep ogee shaped sides over turned feet fitted with brass castors. The top underside with a maker's label for the cabinet makers and brothers Albert and Edmond Dole of Bangor, Maine who operated a funiture manufacturing business from 1822 to 1889. 13" H x 18" square, mid-19th century.
CONDITION: Overall good condition, the sides exhibit general use wear with minor losses.
