Southern or Mid-Atlantic Sheraton tiger maple chest of drawers, poplar secondary. Consisting of a plain top, two overhanging drawers above three drawers, all dovetailed with turned pulls and diamond escutcheons, flanked by half turned stiles, paneled sides and the whole on turned feet. Back with old partially legible inscription, possibly D. Kilsmith. 49" H x 45 3/8" W x 19 1/4" D. Circa 1835.
PROVENANCE: Private Bristol, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: The turned feet and base supports for the feet are replacements. Refinished surface with general expected use wear. One drawer bottom appears to be a replacement.
