English School, signed pair of oil on canvas depictions of 17th century English cottages, each with figures wearing Victorian dress in the foreground. Each titled en verso OLD HOUSE AT EDENBRIDGE and signed BELT lower right. Partially illegible stencil mark on back of canvas contains the words Newton and London. Original giltwood frames with Gothic arch moldings. 9" x 11 1/2" sight, 15" x 18" framed. Circa 1870. Condition: Light grime and craquelure, some losses to frame edges on one frame, up to 3"L.
